Why do I do this?

Some have asked what the purpose of what I have started is. After almost 20 years away from playing. I decided I wanted to get back to it since I was on the road away from home and wanted something to keep me busy. I made the decision that I wanted to start over and learn to actually play the guitar and not play at it. Unlearn all the bad habits I had formed and actually learn scales and the why of everything I needed to do. So after a LONG search, I found a YouTube teacher I liked and started over. But when I started looking into all the new gear, it seemed most channels were aimed at people who were already seasoned vets. They used tons of terms that were all Greek to me. And all the demos and play throughs were being done with the best pedals, the best gear and the guys shredding with backing tracks and really only their best tones. That told me nothing about what the pedals actually do and how they would sound on my cheap rigs. It hit me, there has to be a lot of other folks like me out there who just want to hear the pedal without all the jargon and backing tracks.
So my channel was set up for new players, older players getting back into it, or folks that just play for fun. People who are not looking for $200 + pedals, and $3000 guitars. Do not get me wrong. I am very proud of the fact that a lot of great players and pros have joined me on this journey and help out and give non judgemental advice. (For the most part) I welcome all that want to be around. I just want everyone to know, I by know means think I know it all, or am some great player or anything like that. I am just a guy who enjoys helping others like me find their way in a world that can swallow you up and a minute and discourage you in flash.
Play what you want, with the equipment that you want and have fun. That is the main thing. Do let others dictate your future. If you want a $10 pedal, get one. If you want a $400 pedal Get that. And always feel free on my forum, to ask anything you want. If I can help, I will. If I can't I will help find someone who can help. With that, I welcome you to join me on my journey to have fun, meet other cool people just like me and talk Pedals and any other music gear that comes to mind.
