Let's talk about AI
AI, is it the enemy we all claim it to be. Are we over exaggerating it's power and influence. Here is my take on the whole AI thing and why I am bringing it up. A couple months ago I had a follower on one of my Social media platforms voice his dislike for an AI ad I had used "Grok" to help create. It was an amp ad for a friend who builds and relic's Fender type amps. He makes them look and sound like the old 50's and 60's amps. And makes them look well used and does a fantast

Someone asked what my "Hands Down" Favorite Pedal I own is.
No way I could fit this into 141 or what ever it is characters. So here we go. Kevin has asked what my favorite pedal is. Hands down go to pedal. Man that is a tough one. That is like asking someone with kids, who is their favorite. Lol First, lets remember, the pedals I love are fantastic on my rig. I can not promise how they will react to anyone else's playing style or gear. So with that disclaimer said, lets get into it. I have some pedals that have been made specially for

Helping Hand
I have done some updates on my Ebay Storefront. I do not own these pedals. The price is the same no matter what. I just receive a small commission if you buy one of the pedals in the store. There is a shirt collection also. All collections are separated by pedal type. They are all in the affordable range. ( Under $100) I am going to also make a collection for Budget pedals that will be mixed types but all under $30. Will also add some expensive pedals for those that want by n

Does anyone even read before getting in a conversation?
Let me start by telling you that my X following for the most part are fantastic. A lot of great and knowledgeable folks as well as newer people on there and we interact a lot. I have a thing I do every weekday unless I just can't do it. I post the Pedal of the day photo and I post the question of the day. Now these guys and gals know it is just a question for the masses to open discussions. Not me asking because I need an answer for myself. Now, with that said. It seems

Why hype words and gear know it all's drive me crazy
We have all heard the cool "in" words of the day, the hype words that get discussions going and often off the rails. People hear or read or see something new and think it is law, or constantly throwing it around in every conversation to show how smart they are or trying to make others feel like less of a musician. I love these phrases and the people who use them. Because if you dig deeper into their knowledge, you will find that they do not know much of anything. Story ti

Don't sleep on Behringer
I know everyone likes to hate on Behringer for the plastic pedals. Although we have had a lot of companies in the past and present also having plastic enclosures. But everyone likes to attack Behringer. They are collecting up companies (TC Electronics sound familiar) and getting their hands on schematics and vintage builds and putting them out. And these pedals are really good. The Octavia, Fuzz Bender, Chorus Symphony, Octave Divider and the Ring Modulator. As well as the Vi

Talking Tone
One of my favorite things I love to hear others say when you talk about someones set up is "Their tone sucks". It can be said in a lot of different ways. His/Her tone sucks. Your tone is horrible. It always makes me wonder, who gave them the final decision in how everyone else should sound or play. I will say that there are tones and sounds and music that I really do not wish to listen too or types of music I can go without. But who am I to say they or their music or their to

There is always one, always!
It never fails. All you try and do is start a conversation, share a photo, ask a question. And then they appear. The world renowned keyboard warrior. The guy or gal who thinks it is their job to say something really stupid or just start an attack. It never fails. I do not understand these people and have actually stopped trying to. But they feel it is their duty to save everyone else from interacting with you or everyone else. What is humorous is they way they think because y

I do not just use the best set ups for demos or YouTube Shorts.
I never understand when people attack a demo or YouTube Short with the phrase "All that equipment and it sounds terrible". I do not look for the best settings or sounds to let people hear. I play them all, I want folks to hear the good, the bad and the ugly. I do not want anyone to go buy a pedal because I made it sound great, but when they get it home. It does not sound good at all. That is why I use different guitars, amps and settings. This is why it is a good idea to alw

Great things I have learned.
When you start a journey like this the one thing you try to prepare yourself for is all the ridicule and hate you will receive. There are so many people out there who's sole purpose is to belittle and bring down those around them. What you are not ready for is all the support and love that you find by so many good people who want to see you succeed and want to help and see you do well. It has been overwhelming at times. I can not put into words, what I feel sometimes talki

Why do I do this?
Some have asked what the purpose of what I have started is. After almost 20 years away from playing. I decided I wanted to get back to it since I was on the road away from home and wanted something to keep me busy. I made the decision that I wanted to start over and learn to actually play the guitar and not play at it. Unlearn all the bad habits I had formed and actually learn scales and the why of everything I needed to do. So after a LONG search, I found a YouTube teacher I

Big deals on Market Place
I have found some great deals on Market Place over the last couple of years. From Amps, to guitars to some great pedals. Just this past weekend, I was able to purchase a small Gator pedal board with case, a Behringer Digital Reverb, Behringer Overdrive/Distortion and a Boss TU-3 as well as a One Spot daisy chain power supply for $50. Last week I picked up a JHS Delay for $40 and found a EHX Lizard Queen for $40. You have to be fast sometimes. You can not waste time thinking
